Add a New Car

New Car Information section
1) The vendor field allows you to enter a vendor by using the drop down bar or add an auction vendor by using the arrow button. Tip: If a vendor exists but is not on the list, updated them in the setup tab, under the Misc. Information, vendor type as “Auction/Wholesale”.
2) The VIN field allows you to enter the complete VIN it will display a red box with an X if it is not
New Car Information section
3) The Stock Number field is where the system will assign the next stock number.
4) The Description filed is where you enter a description of your purchase. This will print on the check.
5) The State field is where you enter the state the vehicle was last registered in.
6) The Lot field is where you select the lot if you have more than one location.
7) The Purchase Date field is where you enter the date of purchase.
8) The Due In (Days) field is where you put the number of days until payment is due.
9) The Due Date field will default to the date when payment is due
10) The Invoice Number field will default with the last 6 of VIN. This will print on the check.
11) The Liability Account field will default to 2110-Accounts Payable.
12) The Amount:field is where you enter the amount you will purchase the unit for.
13) Paid For?: if No, click save. If yes (paid by manual check), go to #14
14) Check Number: enter the check number used to pay for the unit.
15) Checking Account: using the drop down bar, pick which account the check was written from.
16) Check date: enter the date check was issued.

The Save button: this will save the information and open the edit inventory window.

The Import button allow you to import vehicles that were scanned using the ASN Valuator.

The Cancel button will close the window without saving any changes.

F.A.Q.'s and How-To's

How can I print a Bill of Sale or other private sale forms for a consignment or Off-the-Street Purchase?

First, when adding the vehicle into your inventory, be sure to pick "Off-the-Street Purchase" or "Consignment" for the Purchase Type on line 1. Fill in the remaining purchase details and click "save".

Once you've saved the purchase information, the system will display a list of Private Sale Forms available to print.

You can always access these forms at a later time by loading the vehicle in the Inventory screen and clicking the blue arrow next to the Purchase Cost on line 61.

How do I add a new vehicle to my inventory?

How do I import a vehicle from the ASN Valuator app?

To import a vehicle marked “purchased” in the app:

Go to View/Edit Inventory and click “Add a New Car”. Click “Import” from the popup window.

“ASN Valuator App” may already be selected as the default source for importing. Otherwise, click “Change Source” to select the Valuator App as your import source. Once selected, highlight the vehicle you want to import and click “Import Vehicle”, or choose “Import ALL Vehicles” to import all vehicles in the list.

To import a vehicle marked “trade-in” in the app:

Create a new sale or load an existing sale to which you want to attach the trade-in. Add the trade value info on line 11 of the Deal screen to open up the “Trade” tab.

Open the “Trade” tab and click “Load from ASN Valuator App”. Select the vehicle you want to load into the deal as a trade-in and click “Import Vehicle”.
